Our Moroccan Tamegroute Candle Holder: A Serene Accent in a Tranquil Abode

Among the carefully curated elements that adorned Sandra Bullock's exquisite townhouse, our Moroccan Tamegroute Candle Holder stood out as a testament to timeless beauty and artistry. The choice of this piece, with its rustic green glazed enamel, harmoniously aligned with the hints of green artfully woven throughout the space. The allure of Tamegroute pottery lies in its authenticity; each piece is uniquely crafted using production methods that have remained unchanged since the 1600s. The result is a characterful finish that adds a touch of serene elegance to any environment.

Crafting Stories Through Imperfections

The Moroccan Tamegroute Candle Holder embodies the spirit of imperfection, where irregularities and variations in color, shape, and size are celebrated as the original hallmarks of its creator. It's this very uniqueness that speaks to the heart of Ashe Leandro's design philosophy and the curated blend of history and modernity evident in Sandra Bullock's townhouse.

As we celebrate the seamless fusion of design and character showcased in this historic townhouse, we're honored to have contributed a piece that embodies the same spirit of authenticity and sophistication.

The traditional pottery of Tamegroute is recognizable by its rustic and authentic green glazed enamel, ranging from fir green to olive green to ochre. The Tamagroute pottery ateliers use production methods that have remained unchanged since the 1600s and the result is a wonderfully characterful finish.

These are very versatile pieces that can be used both alone and in sets of different sizes, creating movement to your environment and can contain water for your favourite floral. Taking up to 40 days to create, the Ninho Série 03 is a true testament to the artisanal craftsmanship and dedication of its makers. Inspired by the force of nature, the vessel's biophilic design features a stunning fusion of lines and curves that emerge organically from the artist's unconscious and creative experimentation.

The Zulu Pot, locally known as Ukhamba, is an inspiring and sophisticated addition to your home that narrates a story of culture and heritage. Crafted by the masterful hands of the Zulu people of South Africa, these pots are truly one-of-a-kind pieces that will tell stories in your home. From clay taken from river banks, each piece is a skillfully designed work of art, burnished and fired in an open fire pit to become a beautiful vessel for any space.

This vintage terracotta Canari pot dates back to the 1960's, from the Akan people of Korhogo village in Côte d'Ivoire. Style this piece as a decorative object or fill with dried floral.

A lovely old handmade earthenware water jar or vessel from Northern Morocco. Traditionally used to store soup or olive oil.

Please note that clay is porous. While these types of vessels were commonly used to contain liquid in Morocco, they will sweat or leak out the liquid and leave rings around the clay. Use them purely decoratively.

The unique shape of this hand-twisted beeswax candle by WAX Atelier is sure to be the talking point of any dinner party. Made from a blend of orange wax and white beeswax, these candles release the subtle aroma of oranges and honey.

A beautiful vintage Moroccan hand carved walnut wood bowl featuring copper fasteners used to repair a crack in the bowl that expands and contracts with the seasons. The bowl has a wonderful patina from decades of use.
